Established the Niigata College of Nursing, (Department: Nursing, Admission Limitation: 90, Actual Admission Number: 94) The Governor Of Niigata Prefecture inaugurated Kieko Nakajima as the first president of the Niigata College of Nursing. Niigata Research Institute of Nursing was also established. A ceremony to inaugurate the Niigata College of Nursing was held. |

A Committee was established to liaise with the Joetsu University of Education for Community contribution The Governor of Niigata Prefecture approves the establishment of a Master Course at the Niigata College of Nursing Applied to the Ministry of Education and Science for permission to establish the Master Course Kieko Nakajima was re-selected as the President. |

The First Admission Examination of the Master Course was conducted. The First Graduate Ceremony of the Undergraduate Program was held. The First Admission Ceremony of the Master Course was held (11 Students) . Kieko Nakajima was inaugurated as the Director of Graduate Programs. |

Professor Masaharu Nakano took office as acting President of Niigata College of Nursing. The Professorial Board of Niigata College of Nursing elected Professor Takeshi Watanabe as the president. |

In an inauguration ceremony, the Governor of Niigata Prefecture confirmed Professor Takeshi Watanabe as the second President of Niigata College of Nursing. |
